Rangers are considering loan options for Jay Hogarth as Nottingham Forest get set to Rangers youngster Jamie Newton.

Ibrox kid gloves Hogarth is on the wanted list of several Scottish Championship and League One outfits. The Light Blues are looking at various options as they look to get the Scotland under-21 cap back out playing regularly. He had a successful stint at Alloa Athletic and feel Hogarth would kick on with more regular first-team football. The 20-year-old is the brother of Falkirk keeper Nicky Hogarth.

But Newton could be heading out of Ibrox on a permanent basis and English Premier League side Forest are ready to table a two-year-deal. The 18-year-old has come through the Ibrox Academy and has previously worked with Forest academy chief Craig Mulholland. The defender was involved in Rangers B team when they were in the Lowland League last season.

Staying south of the border, Fulham are considering Scottish Premiership loan options for Kristian Sekularac. A number of top flight clubs in Scotland have expressed an interest in the 20-year-old midfielder. The Cottagers are looking to send the young Swiss international youth cap out on-loan to get experience.

Sekularac has already been involved in the Fulham first-team squad but feels he would benefit from a run of first-team football. They have options in England and Scotland and are likely to make a decision over the next couple of weeks. Sekularac was born in London but came through the ranks of Servette before he moved to Juventus. He moved to Fulham in 2022.

Meanwhile, Dundalk are in talks to sign Robbie Mahon from Motherwell. The Irish side are looking to take the winger back across the water. Motherwell signed the 20-year-old from Bohemians back in 2022.
