Transfer news LIVE: Chelsea 'hijack' Arsenal's Kudus deal, Mbappe exit decision, Liverpool hint dropped

The 2023/24 season has not even started yet but that doesn't mean there hasn't been plenty to keep us entertained.

Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City have all been extremely busy in the market and their business shows no sign of slowing down.

London rivals Arsenal and Chelsea are set to go head-to-head for the signing of Ajax star Mohammed Kudus. The Red Devils are also still chasing Atalanta star Ramsus Hojlund.

There's also the big question of what the future holds for Kylian Mbappe. PSG now apper likely to cash-in, with Chelsea and Saudi clubs lurking to potentially do a deal.

Away from transfers and a number of Premier League clubs have also put their new signings through their paces overnight. Man United overcame Arsenal 2-0, whilst Chelsea edged past Brighton in a 4-3 thriller over in the USA.

New Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino was left praising Nicolas Jackson after his pivotal role on Sunday morning's victory over Brighton.

Speaking about the summer signing, he said: "I think when Chelsea sign a player like him it's because they detect something important in quality and talent. He is a big talent, he needs time to adapt to the new club, the Premier League.

"He is young also, we need to help him to develop and evolve and be an important player for Chelsea."
