Transfer news LIVE as Celtic, Rangers and Aberdeen plus Hearts and Hibs eye signings
Tis the season of gifts before transfer window opens on January 1 but teams are seeking some early signing presents.
And one club that has work to do on the recruitment front and that is Celtic. Wilfried Nancy's reign began with a 2-1 home loss to title rivals Hearts. The Frenchman has already stamped his authority on his team with a radical change to a 3-4-3 formation and he might look to bring in players next month who are more suited to that style. Mateus Bogusz was a target for the Hoops last year and has handed the Hoops fresh hope of landing him.
Rangers bounced back with a 3-0 away win at Kilmarnock on Saturday and the Ibrox giants are said to be keen on Tromso midfielder Jens Hjerto-Dahl. Appointing a new sporting director and CEO remains an immediate priority but Real Betis chief Manu Fajardo has poured eater on links with Gers.
Hearts' impressive win at Parkhead has seen them move three points clear at the top and Derek McInnes will be hopeful of one or two new faces to help them try and stay there.
Edinburgh rivals Hibs will be on the lookout for reinforcements in their bid to claim another third place finish while Jimmy Thelin's rapidly improving Aberdeen are also expected to be busy.
And down south, Mohamed Salah's bombshell revelations about Liverpool boss Arne Slot could well bring a premature end to the Egyptian King's distinguished career at Anfield.
It's set to be a big week on the transfer front and you can follow it with us LIVE.
This is a January window unlike any other!
There is a need for signings for Celtic, Rangers and Hearts.
The champions must give Wilfried Nancy ammo, Rangers are itching to build on Danny Rohl's hot start and Hearts believe they are in a bonafide title fight.
