Transfer Gossip: Ten Hag wants Man Utd to shock Chelsea and snap up Croatia star; Arsenal learn Tielemans condition

Incoming Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has identified a key Bundesliga target, while Arsenal learn a Youri Tielemans deal condition – both in all the latest Transfer Gossip.

Stuttgart left-back Borna Sosa is a firm Manchester United target for incoming new manager Erik ten Hag, according to a report.

United are facing a busy summer transfer window of both departures and arrivals. Departures will be the first priority to oversee, with a quintet of players definitely on their way out.

As for arrivals, left-back Brandon Williams is one such player who is coming back from a loan spell. The 21-year-old has spent the season at Norwich and impressed, despite the Canaries’ relegation from the Premier League.

Luke Shaw and Alex Telles are above Williams in the Man Utd pecking order. According to Kicker, though, Ten Hag wants a brand new signing at left-back.

Indeed, Stuttgart’s Sosa is on his radar following the 24-year-old’s impressive spell in the Bundesliga.

Chelsea are also after the five-time Croatia international, but Ten Hag reportedly wants the Red Devils to beat their Premier League rivals to the full-back.

Sosa moved to Germany from Dinamo Zagreb in 2018 and has subsequently made 82 appearances.

What’s more, 23 assists in that time is a solid record which has attracted Ten Hag’s attention.

Eight of those assists have come this season, while Sosa has also chipped in with two goals this term.

The left-back earned a new contract in November 2020 and those terms run until 2025.
