Trains to and from Manchester Piccadilly disrupted after 'trespass incident'
There is disruption on trains to and from Manchester Piccadilly this morning due to a 'trespass incident'.
All lines are currently blocked between Manchester Piccadilly and Stockport, according to National Rail. A number of train services are now either halted, delayed or cancelled.
Operators affected include Avanti West Coast, CrossCountry, Northern, TransPennine Express and Transport for Wales. Disruption is expected until at least 9am.

National Rail said: "A trespass incident between Manchester Piccadilly and Stockport means all lines are blocked. As a result, trains running between these stations may be cancelled, delayed or diverted."

According to National Rail, the line between Manchester Piccadilly and Stockport has been reopened now.
But some services are still being cancelled or delayed due to the earlier incident.
Disruption is expected until 9am.

She said the conductor has announced to passengers that there is a 'backlog' at Piccadilly due to the trespass incident.
