Traffic stopped on M4 after crash near Cardiff - live updates

A collision on the M4 eastbound near Cardiff has brought traffic to a sudden stop this morning. Traffic Wales South confirmed on X at around 7.26am on Monday morning that a collision had taken place on the M4 eastbound near J32 Coryton.

They have also noted that traffic has stopped and have warned motorists to expect delays in the area. Meanwhile, traffic monitoring service Inrix has confirmed that congestion has reached as far back as J33 near the Cardiff West and Services.

Their traffic update reads: "All traffic being temporarily held and stationary traffic due to accident on M4 Eastbound at J32 A470 Northern Avenue ( Coryton Interchange). Congestion to J33 (Cardiff West And Services)."
