Tottenham XI vs Southampton: Confirmed lineup, team news and injury latest for Premier League today

Tottenham remain without Oliver Skipp, Japhet Tanganga and Eric Dier for tonight’s Premier League meeting with Southampton but Antonio Conte has no fresh injury concerns.

The Tottenham head coach’s main selection decisions have centred on deadline-day signings Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski, who both made their debuts from the bench in Saturday’s FA Cup win over Brighton.

Conte described Bentancur as in “top form” on Tuesday but both players remain on the bench on Wednesday night.

Conte insisted Bentancur and Kulusevski would need “a bit of time” to get up to speed but said they are both well-suited to the Premier League.

“We’re talking about two strong players physically with good quality,” he said. “Kulusevski and Bentancur are strong physically and they can play in this league. This league is not for all because you have to match quality and physicality.

“We’re talking about two players able to play in this league and they can help us a lot. Rodrigo Bentancur is on top form and Kulusevski we’re working very hard because he has an important engine. Two important players for us who can help us for the rest of the season.”
