Tottenham watching another Nottingham Forest ace as part of triple transfer mission

Nottingham Forest star Brennan Johnson has now darted onto the radar of Tottenham Hotspur scouts as the Premier League side continues to cast their eye over the Football League's hottest talent.

The Daily Telegraph claim that scouts have been sent to the City Ground to keep tabs on the Welsh international as well as Peterborough centre-back Ronnie Edwards and Coventry City's Callum O'Hare. The trio are regarded as some of the hottest prospects in the Championship with Johnson having already been linked with a bumper move to the Premier League this summer.

Newcastle and Leeds United are also thought to be keeping the attacking midfielder under close watch after a series of stunning performances for the Reds this season.

Newcastle have reportedly hatched a plan to secure his signature with winger Allan Saint-Maximin tipped to leave St. James' Park this summer, according to the Daily Mail. The report adds that bids of around £50million will be considered by Newcastle as they continue to shape Eddie Howe's squad for next season and beyond.

And Newcastle have identified Forest's Johnson and Moussa Diaby of Bayer Leverkusen as wingers they would like to add to Howe's ranks. Though, they face competition for both players and Forest will put up a strong resistance to letting their 20-year-old star leave.
