Tottenham transfer news: Lucas Moura, Steven Bergwijn among eight sales in bid to satisfy Antonio Conte overhaul plans

Tottenham are reportedly ready to listen for offers for as many as eight first-team players this summer as they look to appease boss Antonio Conte and keep him at the club.

The Italian has made it abundantly clear that his first-team squad needs an overhaul if Spurs are to challenge for major honours under his management. However, there have been question marks over whether Daniel Levy will commit to such a strategy.

French giants PSG have been tipped to swoop for Conte, if they decide to part company with Mauricio Pochettino.

That, in turn, has led to rumours of Tottenham already lining up a replacement in the shape of Brighton chief Graham Potter.

However, in order to try and keep Conte away from potential suitors, the London Evening Standard claims that sporting director Fabio Paratici will take a ruthless approach to transfer dealings this summer – and that spells trouble for a number of Spurs players.

The report adds Paratici is aware of the club’s previous failure to get rid of highly paid fringe players. However, he will only do so at the right price.

The first names mentioned for the exit door are forward Steven Bergwijn and Harry Winks.

Netherlands star Bergwijn almost returned to his homeland in January but Conte opted to keep him around.

That proved to be a wise decision, with the winger popping up with some crucial goals off the bench. However, he remains a fringe player at best and Tottenham know they can fetch good money for him.

As for Winks, the England man will be well down the midfield pecking order once Oliver Skipp returns next season and there will be no shortage of interest in his signature.
