Tottenham tipped to join Newcastle in ‘assault’ for €100m Man Utd target
Tottenham and Newcastle have been tipped to “go on the assault” for Napoli star Victor Osimhen this summer, who has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United.
The Nigeria international has 17 goals and six assists in all competitions this season, averaging a goal contribution every 95 minutes for the Serie A side.

A report earlier this week claimed Osimhen is ‘at the very top’ of Newcastle United’s transfer shortlist with Napoli ‘expecting’ the Magpies to contact them over the young striker.
The report added that only a Premier League club will be able to afford this signing with Napoli asking for €100m, and it’s believed that Osimhen is ‘not asking to leave’, meaning the Italian club’s asking price is unlikely to go down.
That news came after a different outlet claimed last week that Man United were ‘on pole’ to land the striker, and now Italian journalist Niccolo Ceccarini has told Area Napoli (via Sport Witness) that Tottenham “could go on the assault” in the summer, but warned it would “take a very high amount” for Napoli to be interested.
Ceccarini said: “Victor Osimhen’s situation is very clear, if great offers arrive Napoli would listen to them without thinking twice. But it will take a very high amount to snatch him from Neapolitan society, it will not be easy.
“There are clubs from England like Newcastle and Tottenham that could go on the assault in the summer.”
