Tottenham: Sky Sports reporter makes exciting prediction at Hotspur Way

Tottenham have the quality in their squad to “whack someone 5-0” in the weeks ahead, according to Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge.

Antonio Conte’s side have made an excellent start to the Premier League season, although half of their six victories have been by a one-goal margin.

Despite not being at their best, Spurs dusted themselves down after disappointing results against Arsenal and Eintracht Frankfurt to secure a crucial 1-0 victory at Brighton on Saturday.

As a result, the north Londoners have collected 20 points from a possible 27 from their first nine fixtures, which represents a productive start.

But Tottenham are yet to produce the type of form which helped them sneak into the top four at the end of last season, with their victories over the likes of Wolves, Nottingham Forest and Brighton slightly fortunate.

Regardless, only Arsenal (23) and Manchester City (33) have scored more than Conte’s side, who find themselves a respectable third in the table.

Their goals for column was helped by a 6-2 victory over Leicester last month, but they’re yet to hit top form, with Heung-Min Son struggling, while Dejan Kulusevski has been out injured.

But with some of the best attacking players at their disposal in the Premier League, Bridge reckons Spurs could give someone a hiding any given week.

He told GIVEMESPORT: “Do Tottenham have the opportunity? Do they have the talent in that squad to whack someone 5-0 soon? Yes. And they did it against Leicester, they scored six, Son was angry, don’t bench me or else.”
