Tottenham secure third signing of the summer and it's not Yves Bissouma

Tottenham Hotspur have signed Ireland U19 goalkeeper Josh Keeley, understands.

Spurs have been busy in recent weeks bolstering Antonio Conte's side, with Ivan Perisic and Fraser Forster arriving on free transfers and Brighton's 25-year-old midfielder Yves Bissouma set to undergo a medical ahead of a £30m move. There is plenty more movement expected at the north London club in the weeks ahead as managing director of football Fabio Paratici looks to stock up Conte's squad to challenge in the Premier League and Champions League next season.

However, the summer is also about signing new young players for the future and helping stock the academy with stars in the making and the club has moved to bring in such a young starlet. understands that Spurs have snapped up highly-rated 19-year-old Keeley from St Patrick's Athletic.

The 6ft 3ins keeper will arrive at the Premier League club in the wake of five goalkeepers being released at various levels in recent weeks. First team goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini did not have his loan move made permanent and in the academy Kacper Kurylowicz, Thimothee Lo-Tutala, Josh Oluwayemi and Isak Solberg all parted ways with Spurs following the conclusion of their contracts.

Keeley is a bright prospect in the Irish game and has appeared at a senior level for St Patrick's, with a substitute appearance in the FAI Cup and was named on the bench for the first team for five matches in the Irish top flight.

He also played a couple of games for the club in the UEFA Youth League last season, a competition Spurs will return in the coming campaign thanks to their return to the Champions League.
