Tottenham's Antonio Conte looked defeated in interview after Premier League loss vs Burnley

Antonio Conte looked completely deflated after his Tottenham Hotspur side lost a fourth Premier League match in five attempts on Wednesday night.

Despite having made an unbeaten start to life back in England’s top-flight with Spurs, Conte is now staring at his first major crisis in north London after an unexpected defeat at Turf Moor.

Tottenham looked to have put their form back on track with a stunning 3-2 win at Manchester City over the weekend, but were dealt a harsh reality check up against Sean Dyche’s men in a 1-0 defeat.

Ben Mee’s second-half strike was the only goal that separated the two teams with Spurs damningly becoming just the third team to suffer a Premier League loss at the hands of Burnley this season.

And it couldn’t have been any clearer that the defeat had taken the wind out of Conte’s sails when he looked like a broken man during his post-match interviews.

The former Chelsea manager hasn’t been afraid to mince his words in the press this season by making a series of comments that his Tottenham squad aren’t good enough and huge changes need to be made.

But the way that Conte was talking at Turf Moor was a completely different kettle of fish, openly declaring that Tottenham need to conduct a review that should include his future at the club.

In fact, having spoken to Conte himself, Sam Matterface even said: “The way Conte just spoke to me just now he was clearly suggesting that he was going to quit as Spurs manager. ‘I have to talk to the club’.”

It truly is as remarkable as it sounds, so be sure to get a taste for how Conte was feeling after a fourth defeat in five league games by checking out his interview with Sky Sports down below:
