Tottenham: Paratici and Conte could leave for top European club

Antonio Conte potentially leaving Tottenham would make more sense if Fabio Paratici also departs the club, according to journalist Pete O’Rourke.

Conte has only been at Spurs since November, but he is already being linked with another European club.

Following PSG’s exit from the Champions League last week at the hands of Real Madrid, it appears likely that Mauricio Pochettino is going to lose his job at the French club in the near future.

The Ligue 1 leaders have reportedly drawn up a 10-man shortlist of candidates to replace him, which includes Conte as well as other household names such as Zinedine Zidane, Diego Simeone and Mikel Arteta.

The club’s fans have also protested against sporting director Leonardo for his part in PSG’s European failings.

It has now been claimed that PSG have made contact with Paratici about possibly succeeding Leonardo.

Conte and Paratici have worked together at Juventus and Tottenham, and seem to have a very close relationship.

O’Rourke feels that Paratici joining PSG could increase the chances of Conte following him out the door at Spurs.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, O’Rourke said: “Paratici is also being linked with PSG, and that might give more substance to the rumours that Conte could be on their list if Paratici was to end up there as well.”

According to The Athletic’s David Ornstein, Paratici remains committed to Tottenham and has no intention of leaving the north London club at this stage.
