Tottenham defender Matt Doherty has opened up on his first goal for the club following the Lillywhites' 4-0 victory against Leeds United.
"We played well today," Doherty told Spurs TV. "I think everybody played with personality, character and confidence. We kind of blew them away.
"We were expecting a reaction from them after what happened to them during the week [losing 6-0 to Liverpool] and they're at home, early kick-off, the atmosphere.
"I think we nullified them quite well and we were ruthless today."
He added: "It's my first goal for Tottenham, it's taken a long time, but it feels pretty good."

The aforementioned loss to Spurs proved to be Marcelo Bielsa's last as Leeds boss, with the Argentine controversially sacked on Sunday.
A statement from the Yorkshire-based club read: "Leeds United can today confirm the club have parted company with head coach Marcelo Bielsa.
"The 66-year-old was in charge of the team for over three-and-a-half years, having taken the reins in June 2018."
Leeds United chairman Andrea Radrizzani added: "This has been the toughest decision I have had to make during my tenure at Leeds United, taking into account all the success Marcelo has had at the club."
