Tottenham: Levy could make 'couple of big deals' at Hotspur Way

Tottenham could make a “couple of big” signings in the summer transfer window, according to Daily Star journalist Paul Brown.

Antonio Conte has already recruited three players as his squad starts to take shape ahead of the new campaign, but Brown believes the north Londoners are far from finished.

Spurs had already wrapped up two deals before the window had officially opened, with Fraser Forster and Ivan Perisic joining on free transfers.

34-year-old Forster signed from Southampton, while experienced Croatia international Perisic linked up with Conte once again with his contract at Inter Milan expiring later this month.

Tottenham then secured their first cash deal when Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Yves Bissouma signed in a £25m deal.

Conte’s side have been heavily linked with numerous names in various different positions and Brown expects the Champions League outfit to spend big in a couple of positions.

He told GIVEMESPORT: “The business they’ve done already has been pretty impressive to strike quite quickly, but I still think Spurs have a couple of big deals up their sleeve in this window.

“Conte won his battle for backing this summer and I think they will spend money, but they want to sign so many players for him that it will be only one or two big-money buys and the rest will be bargains for one reason or another.”
