Tottenham 'keeping tabs' on PL star with 160 assists, Conte wants to work with him

Tottenham will be “keeping tabs” on Brentford playmaker Christian Eriksen, says Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge.

The 30-year-old has thrived at the Bees since joining them in January following the cardiac arrest he suffered last year, and Bridge believes his old club are monitoring him.

According to 90min, Brentford face a battle convincing Eriksen to sign a new contract at the Brentford Community Stadium.

The attacking midfielder’s short-term deal expires in the summer, and 90min claims Tottenham, Aston Villa, Crystal Palace, Everton, Newcastle United and West Ham are all interested in signing him.

The above comes as no surprise, with Eriksen once again proving himself in the Premier League. His assist against Watford last time out means he now has 69 in English football’s top division and 160 in total.

The Dane was also recently on the scoresheet in Brentford’s incredible 4-1 win against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, showing that he has not forgotten how to find the back of the net, either.

Bridge thinks Brentford will find it difficult to keep hold of Eriksen and is confident that Tottenham are tracking the Denmark international, who spent six and a half years at the club before joining Inter Milan in 2020.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the Sky Sports journalist said: “Spurs will be keeping tabs on him, that’s for sure. I think Brentford will find it very hard to keep him. I know people might say, ‘Well, doesn’t he owe Brentford another year?’ But it doesn’t really work like that.”
