Tottenham icon sends Antonio Conte five word blunt message on objectives after transfer success

Antonio Conte has already had a major influence on the Tottenham side since his arrival last November. The Italian led his side to a fourth place finish, meaning return to the Champions League next season.

This summer transfer window has also been a success so far, with Spurs welcoming six new arrivals and sending two away on permanent deals. There is still time to go in the window and before the 2022/23 season starts, meaning potential for more business to be completed.

Conte has also been working his squad hard in pre-season training. The Lilywhites won one and drew one of their two matches in South Korea, with games against Rangers and Roma still to be played.

Earlier this month, Conte spoke about why he decided to stay in N17 for another year and his hopes for next season. "It was simple to continue this project because first of all, I have another year of contract. I am totally involved in this project," he admitted.

"I think we have just started this project with the club. You know very well my ambitions. I want the club to continue to improve. Last season, I think to finish in the top four was a great achievement for us, for the players, for the club, for me, for our fans, but as I said we have just started this project now.

"We need to have time and patience but at the same time it is very important to be stronger than in the past and try to be competitive because we have four competitions and we want to be competitive and have ambition. I have ambition and my players want to be ambitious, it’s the same for the club," Conte added.
