Tottenham hopeful of agreeing Richarlison fee within 24 hours to beat Everton deadline

Tottenham are hopeful of agreeing a fee with Everton for Richarlison within the next 24 hours in order to beat the financial fair play deadline, understands.

The two clubs have been locked in talks over the structure of a deal for the 25-year-old Brazil international and while nothing has been agreed with either Everton or the player yet, there is a hope that Spurs and the Toffees will come to an agreement on the fee for the winger before the end of Thursday due to the financial fair play deadline.

Everton are facing financial fair play issues and the current time period for that ends on June 30 but understands that if the two clubs can come to an agreement over the fee for Richarlison before the end of that day and provide evidence of that agreement then the remainder of the transfer can completed within the days after that agreement and still count towards the last year of the financial fair play.

Although terms have not yet been finalised with Richarlison there are not expected to be any issues with that once a fee is agreed and the transfer is expected to move quickly from that point onward. The Brazilian is currently on his holidays after completing his recent international duty with his country and would have to return to the UK to undergo a medical, if it was not undertaken abroad.
