Tottenham get 'ready to invest £43 million' in Torino defender Bremer
Tottenham have reportedly found a contingency plan should they miss out on number one target Alessandro Bastoni and are eyeing a swoop for Torino defender Gleison Bremer.
The 25-year-old was crowned Serie A Defender of the Year after an outstanding season in Turin and has since raised the eyebrows of Antonio Conte, according to reports.
Spurs have already signed Ivan Perisic on a free transfer this summer and have since been tipped to sign Bastoni and raid the Inter Milan squad once again.
However, although a deal for the defender is not completely off the table, talk of a move has swelled over the last fortnight and has looked increasingly unlikely.

According to Calciomercato, Inter have identified Bremer as a high-priority transfer target and are close to signing an agreement with the defender, reportedly for a fee in the region of £21 million.
The Italian outlet also claims that Spurs are 'ready to bid up to £43 million' for the Torino centre half, keen to scupper the Italian giant's efforts to sign him.
Whilst the left-footed Bastoni would be preferred by Conte, as he is comfortable operating to the left of a back three, Bremer has shown exceptional quality at Torino and would be welcomed in North London.
