Tottenham: Fresh Harry Kane injury update emerges before Frankfurt

Tottenham striker Harry Kane is expected to be passed fit for their crucial Champions League game with Eintracht Frankfurt tomorrow, according to insider Dean Jones.

Kane continued his exceptional goalscoring form in the Premier League this season by heading home the winner against Brighton on Saturday, only to hobble off late on at the Amex Stadium.

With Erling Haaland breaking records on a weekly basis, Kane’s fine start to the campaign has almost gone under the radar.

His header against Brighton was his eighth top-flight goal of the season already and it was also the fourth consecutive league game he’s scored in, equalling his previous best run.

But it wasn’t all rosy for Kane on the south coast, with the England captain withdrawn in the closing stages having taken a knock to his ankle.

Kane was hobbling around at full-time, which would have been a major concern for Antonio Conte during the middle of a hectic schedule domestically and in Europe.

Regardless, Kane trained at Hotspur Way on Tuesday ahead of the game and Jones doesn’t think the issue will stop him from featuring.

He told GIVEMESPORT: “I’m told that Kane should be okay on the back of that knock.

“But whenever that moment comes that you have to consider resting Kane because of an injury it’s the toughest decision that Conte is going to have to make because he does still feel a little bit irreplaceable in this side.”

Having missed almost two months with a calf problem, Tottenham will welcome back Lucas Moura, who’s sat out the last nine matches in all competitions.

Conte confirmed the Brazilian is available for the game in north London and will be on the bench after taking part in three training sessions.
