Tottenham could finally sign their Christian Eriksen replacement

Paulo Dybala could finally be Christian Eriksen’s replacement at Tottenham, according to transfer insider Dean Jones.

The Denmark international made the switch to Inter Milan more than two years ago, but Spurs are yet to sign someone to replace him.

The forward has been one of Juventus’ standout performers in recent seasons, highlighted by the fact that he’s been directly involved in 161 goals in his 283 appearances for the Old Lady.

However, Dybala’s time in Turin is coming to an end after it was recently confirmed that he won’t be signing a new contract at Juventus, meaning this will be his seventh and final year with the Serie A giants.

Therefore, Dybala is likely to be planning his next move having spent 10 years in Italy, with several clubs set to be interested in signing the free agent.

One of those could be Tottenham, who were heavily linked with the Argentina international in the summer of 2019 when they were being managed by Mauricio Pochettino. Spurs were desperate to sign the 28-year-old on deadline day, only for a deal to collapse in the final few hours of the window.

But Jones believes that Dybala could eventually make the move to North London and finally be the man tasked with replacing Eriksen.

He told GIVEMESPORT: “They haven’t replaced Eriksen’s profile and creativity, and Dybala would probably do that at this stage.”
