Tottenham: Clubs 'would be interested' in signing £25m Spurs attacker

Tottenham Hotspur star Lucas Moura would generate interest from clubs both home and abroad were he to leave this summer, according to journalist Pete O’Rourke.

The 29-year-old has found first-team opportunities hard to come by in recent weeks following the January arrival of Dejan Kulusevski, and it remains to be seen whether he can force his way back into Antonio Conte’s plans on a more regular basis.

Reports from Football Insider have recently claimed that Spurs have no plans to sell the Brazilian in the upcoming summer transfer window, and that a Lilywhites source had insisted Moura remained a key part of the first-team squad at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The winger has had to make do with a place on the bench in recent weeks given the sparkling form enjoyed by teammate Kulusevski, who joined from Serie A giants Juventus a few months ago.

The Swede has hit the ground running in north London, scoring an impressive two goals and providing five assists in just ten Premier League games, including setting up one in the 5-1 thrashing of Newcastle this past Sunday.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, O’Rourke has admitted that should Moura begin to feel unhappy at the club, he would certainly generate a lot of interest from clubs both in England and abroad.

He said: “I’m sure Lucas Moura at this stage of his career wants to be playing regular first-team football. If he were to be unsettled or unhappy, I’m sure there would be interested clubs from home and abroad in somebody like Lucas.”
