Tottenham: 362-game star now 'set to sign' at Hotspur Way

Tottenham are expected to complete the signing of West Brom goalkeeper Sam Johnstone, according to Daily Express journalist Ryan Taylor.

Antonio Conte is in the market for a backup shotstopper, and the England international looks set to fill the void left by Pierluigi Gollini.

According to the Telegraph, the Spurs manager wants to sign a keeper to provide competition and cover for Hugo Lloris, because Gollini, who’s made just 10 appearances, is likely to return to parent club Atalanta.

He told GIVEMESPORT: “I know Sam Johnstone is pretty much looking set to sign for Spurs. Nothing is done yet, but he will come in to replace Gollini, who’s going back to Atalanta. He’s not made enough appearances to trigger the obligation to buy.”
