Tottenham: £27.5m Mourinho signing could leave Hotspur Way

Sergio Reguilon could leave Tottenham this summer, according to journalist Pete O’Rourke.

The Spain international is only in his second season at Spurs but he has already been linked with a move back to Spain.

Reguilon has generally been first-choice on the left since he signed from Real Madrid in the summer of 2020.

However, Reguilon’s position at the club remains uncertain ahead of the transfer window reopening for business in a couple of months.

Not only might the 25-year-old return to Madrid, who could activate his £27.5m buy-back clause that was inserted in his move to Tottenham, but rivals Barcelona are now also keen on his services.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the left wing-back is attracting plenty of interest from around Europe, with Xavi’s side currently monitoring his situation.

Reguilon has made 67 appearances for Tottenham, 31 of which have come this season, but O’Rourke reckons that he could leave at the end of the campaign.

He told GIVEMESPORT: “There’s a real possibility that Reguilon could return to Spain this summer.

“Real Madrid have a buy-back clause and there’s interest from Barcelona, so I think Conte will be in the market for a left wing-back to try and improve the squad.”
