Tottenham: £25m star has 'medical booked this week' at Hotspur Way

Tottenham target Yves Bissouma will undergo a medical at Hotspur Way on Thursday, according to Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge.

Antonio Conte has been desperately hoping to add a midfielder to his squad and looks to have settled on the Brighton & Hove Albion star.

Tottenham have been linked with a host of midfielders in recent weeks, with the likes of Kalvin Phillips, Youri Tielemans, Christian Eriksen and John McGinn all on Conte’s list.

However, The Times reported on Tuesday morning that Bissouma, who’s got just 12 months remaining on his Seagulls contract, is set to be the next man through the door in north London and become Conte’s third signing of the summer.

With his contract on the South Coast drawing closer to its expiry date, Tottenham have agreed a £25m fee for the Mali international, who’s made 124 appearances in all competitions for Brighton.

And Bridge says the 25-year-old will travel to north London later this week and undergo a medical ahead of his proposed move in a six-word update.

He told GIVEMESPORT: “A medical is booked for Thursday.

“I know he’s got admirers at Tottenham, because when Brighton play well, the analysis is usually about Bissouma running the midfield.

“Every time Brighton play well, he runs the show and Tottenham could really do with a player like that, he would be a real signing.”
