Tottenham: £110k-a-week star 'cut above everyone' at Hotspur Way

Tottenham are always going to miss Dejan Kulusevski‘s creative spark and quality in the final third when he’s not playing, according to transfer insider Dean Jones.

Kulusevski has been sidelined for the last two games, with Spurs failing to score in open play across those 180 minutes of action.

It’s been a promising start to the season for Tottenham, but injuries and a lack of creative spark has seen them stall after the international break.

Antonio Conte’s side saw their unbeaten Premier League run end at Arsenal on Saturday before they were held to a goalless draw at Frankfurt in the Champions League.

Kulusevski was absent from both of those matches after injuring his hamstring while playing for Sweden last month.

The £110,000-per-week star’s place in the side has come under threat this season following the arrival of Richarlison, but Tottenham have generally looked a better outfit with the ex-Juventus star in the team.

In 503 minutes of Premier League action, he’s already registered four goal contributions, taking his overall tally to six goals and 11 assists since he arrived in January.

Against Frankfurt, the north Londoners missed Kulusevski’s composure in key areas, with Spurs unable to register an attempt on target in Germany.

He told GIVEMESPORT: “Kulusevski is going to be the biggest miss whenever he’s not there because his decision-making, vision and passing is a cut above anything the players in that team can offer right now.”

With Lucas Moura already out injured and showing no signs of returning any time soon, it’s even more important that Tottenham have Kulusevski back fit as quickly as possible.
