Deji v Floyd Mayweather: Ex-WWE & AEW star to fight on boxing card

A former WWE and AEW wrestler is set to fight on the card for Deji v Floyd Mayweather next month.

In an event presented by Global Titans Fight Series, undefeated boxing legend Floyd Mayweather will share the ring with Deji, the brother of KSI, in an exhibition boxing match.

And in a surprise announcement this afternoon, a professional wrestler who has worked for WWE, ROH and AEW has now been announced for the undercard.

In a tweet this afternoon, Global Titans Fight Series revealed that the wrestler, who they have chosen to remain unnamed at this stage, will be on the card next month in Dubai.

As you can see from the image below, the tweet kept the identity of the wrestler private, but did reveal some clues that could help spoil their identity, which you can also see below.

The speculation, as noted by WrestleTalk, is that the person that has signed on to fight on the big card is Bobby Fish, who left AEW earlier this month.

Fans won’t have to wait long to find out who will be revealed as the mystery wrestler fighting on the card, as the announcement will be made tomorrow at 2pm in the UK (9am EST/6am PST).

Bobby Fish signed for AEW last year, shortly after he was surprisingly released from his NXT contract by Vince McMahon during his final few months in WWE.

Fish immediately partnered with former Undisputed Era stablemate Adam Cole, before the pair were then joined by Kyle O’Reilly, who allowed his WWE contract to expire in December 2021.

However, things didn’t really work out for Fish in AEW, and fans were left relatively unhappy with what the former Undisputed Era did during their time together in Tony Khan’s promotion.
