Tosin Adarabioyo to Manchester United - transfer latest, contract and Raphael Varane comparison

Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo this summer.

The 26-year-old was yesterday linked with a move to Old Trafford as he approaches the end of his contract with his current club, with Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur also believed to be eyeing a deal.

Tosin signed for the Cottagers in 2020 and has been a mainstay in their defence ever since, making over 120 appearances for the club in all competitions.

After Raphael Varane's summer exit was confirmed on Tuesday, and others likely to follow the Frenchman out of the club in this position, the Red Devils could certainly do with reinforcements in this area.

Tosin would fit the bill of a player well-suited to joining United, though there will be competition to secure his services. Below is the lowdown on the centre-back.

Early career

A product of Manchester City's academy, Tosin was recruited by the Sky Blues at the age of five having previously played for amatuer club Fletcher Moss Rangers. He made his senior debut for City in 2016 and became the club's youngest-ever player to start a Champions League match after appearing against Celtic in December of that year.

EFL experience in the form of loan spells at West Brom and Blackburn Rovers followed before Fulham struck a permanent agreement to sign the player four years ago.
