Top Irish player ratings from this weekend

As Irish players returned to their clubs after the international break, it was a weekend that saw a number of players stand out.

In an encouraging weekend across the divisions in England, it was Portsmouth's Conor Shaughnessy who got the highest Sofascore rating of 9.2, as he scored a 93rd minute winner to keep them top of the table in their push for promotion.

At the other side of the world, it was 35-year-old Jay O'Shea who continued to prove his quality at 35-years-old as he scored for Brisbane Roar in a 1-1 draw against Macarthur.

Back to England, and Will Smallnone's goal for Southampton in their 2-1 over Hull helped him to 8.0 rating. In the Premier League, Chiedozie Ogbene's first goal for Luton gave him a 7.9 rating.

In the MLS, Connor Ronan's impressive performances continue as he scored a 7.8 rating, while Cheltenham duo Will Ferry and Sean Long also score in the top 10 after their first win of the season.

Stoke's Mark Travers and defender Luke McNally, who scored the winner in their 2-1 over Sunderland also make up the top 10. Should McNally continue this run of form, it may give Stephen Kenny something to think about ahead of the November games against the Netherlands and New Zealand.
