Tonbridge Angels manager and legendary ex-Millwall captain Alan Dunne hopeful he can help right-sided player Harvey Lintott earn move back into Football League as 23-year-old signs

Manager Alan Dunne thinks he can help Tonbridge Angels’ new right-back earn a move back into the Football League.

Dunne - a legendary defender himself, playing more than 300 times for Millwall where he was captain - has signed Harvey Lintott as he continues to assemble his National League South squad.

Canterbury-born Lintott, 23, started his career at Gillingham and arrives from Eastbourne Borough where he made 35 appearances last time out after also playing for Northampton Town between 2022 and 2025.

Dunne says he is very particular about recruiting in the position he used to play in - and likes a lot of what he sees within Lintott’s game.

He told Tonbridge Angels’ website: “I’m delighted to have Harvey in the building.

“Being a right-back myself, it’s a position I’m very particular about and one I study to understand the traits you look for in a modern-day right-back and Harvey brings them.

“He’s driven, dedicated and motivated for the right reasons.

“He has a great attitude, an excellent character and wants to get back into league football and he wants me - as an experienced full-back - to help him do that while giving his all for Tonbridge Angels.

“I think we’re very lucky to have him at the club and I’m looking forward to working with him.”

Lintott cannot wait to show the supporters at Longmead what he can do.

“I’m really delighted to be here,” he added. “I’ve been speaking to Alan and Larry (McAvoy, No.2) for a while now and it’s great to get the deal signed.

“I play anywhere on the right, basically. I’m a full-back, but love to get forward when I can and put some good crosses into the box.

“I’m really looking forward to showing the fans here what I can do.”
