Ton-up Kerr spoils Proteas women clean sweep as NZ cruise to win in Durban

Amelia Kerr hit a stunning unbeaten century to steer New Zealand to victory in the third ODI against South Africa at Kingsmead on Sunday.

The visitors bounced back with a six-wicket victory in Durban despite losing the three-match ODI series 2-1.

The start was halted by rain, which resulted in the game getting reduced to 45 overs a side.

Chasing 209, Kerr shouldered the White Ferns run chase as she brought up her fourth ODI century.

Masabata Klaas got the early wicket of Suzie Bates for 9 before a 54-run stand between Kerr and captain Sophie Devine formed.

Mlaba was the pick of the Proteas bowlers as she took two for 41 with the notable mention of all-rounder Kapp, who bowled three overs for eight runs before she left the field after experiencing heart palpitations.

Earlier on, Kapp led with the bat as the Proteas, who were wearing black in their #EndGBV campaign, were restricted to 209.

The Proteas kept losing wickets at regular intervals and were soon reeling on 67-4.

A 54-run stand between Kapp and Chloe Tryon helped steady the Proteas' innings but Tryon was soon bowled by Fran Jonas for 25.

Wickets tumbled soon after as Devine and Tahuhu picked up three wickets a piece.

Kapp top-scored for the Proteas as
