Tomás Ó Sé sounds one caveat over 'sharp' Kerry

Kerry's dismantling of Louth led to Tomás Ó Sé waxing lyrical on the stealthy All-Ireland progress of his native county, with one unanswered question tempering his enthusiasm.

The Kingdom inflicted a big defeat on the Wee County for a second successive year in the championship, this time running out 2-21 to 1-10 victors in Portlaoise, with scores spread across the team and Kerry's backs proving clinical in front of the posts.

Eleven different players raised flags as Jack O'Connor's outfit secured top spot in Group 4.

Speaking on The Sunday Game, Ó Sé told viewers: "I think they looked sharp. Last year they beat them by 28 points and they beat them by 14 points today. It was still a walloping.

"I think they moved the ball extremely well, they were sharp with their handling, they were sharp kicking-wise. They had 11 different scorers

"I think they're not relying on Seánie O'Shea, they're not relying on David Clifford.

"They broke Louth down fairly easily and Louth set up defensively."

Tómas Ó Sé has been impressed by what he's seen from Kerry so far this campaign, but is adamant that they have yet to be really tested. #TheSundayGame pic.twitter.com/1amfXmr3JV

However, Ó Sé's assessment of the calibre of the opposition means that firm conclusions on Kerry have yet to be reached, at least in the mind of the five-time All-Ireland winner.

"To date in the championship, they've played Cork, Clare, Monaghan, Meath and Louth, Ó Sé added.

"None of them would be within an ass's roar of anything to do with an All-Ireland. That's the big question for Kerry.

"They won't get a full, proper testing until they go to a quarter-final, but from everything we've seen they're looking extremely sharp and they haven't had to put the foot down on the gas.
