Tom Rogic pens emotional Celtic farewell message as he insists Parkhead journey was 'a dream come true'

Tom Rogic admits it was 'a dream come true' as he paid an emotional Celtic farewell.

The Australian playmaker has become a modern day Parkhead legend and his exit at the end of the season came as a shock to many.

And he was left in tears as he made his way off the pitch for the final time last week as the supporters gave him a standing ovation.

Now the 29-year-old has taken to Instagram to thank everyone he has graced during his nine year stay in Glasgow.

From fans to teammates the touching tribute covered it all as he wished Ange Postecoglou all the best for future success.

Rogic wrote: "After over nine years, my time at Celtic Football Club has come to an end. I feel very lucky to have been able to spend so many amazing years at such a great club.

"To have played for the club 273 times and won 16 trophies has been a dream come true.

"I have shared a dressing room with so many amazing team-mates over the years who I'd like to thank for everything and also congratulate for all we have achieved together.

"To all the managers, coaches and staff members I have worked with at the club, it has been a pleasure working together.

"Thank you all for helping me become a better player and person.

"To Ange and the boys, I want to wish you all the best for next season, I'm sure the success will continue. I will be watching and cheering you on all the way!

"Lastly, to the fans who have supported me in my time here, thank you.

"To everyone who was at Celtic Park last weekend, thank you for the perfect farewell. It was a special day that will live with me forever."

Rogic departs Celtic having lifted the Premier Sports Cup and Scottish Premiership this season.
