Tom Brady: Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB had cheeky response to controversial call

Tom Brady had a rather cheeky response to a major call that impacted the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during their victory over the Atlanta Falcons this past weekend. 

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have had something of a rocky start to the season. Having started out 2-0 with wins against the Dallas Cowboys and the New Orleans Saints, they slipped back to .500 with back to back defeats to the Kansas City Chiefs and the Green Bay Packers.

A lot of this can simply be put down to their personnel issues, as the Buccaneers have been severely hampered by injuries to some crucial pieces on offense and having to deal with the one-game suspension of key wide receiver Mike Evans after he got into a scuffle during their win over the Saints. 

So when you’re in a bit of trouble like that, you need all the help that you can get in order to secure a win, especially a win within the division as the Buccaneers were seeking against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. Sadly that help shouldn’t be coming from the referees as they arguably got this weekend.

Late in the 4th quarter, the Buccaneers were looking to put together a drive to kill the clock, and force the Falcons to use their remaining timeouts in order to seal the game.

But on a 3rd down play, Brady was sacked by the Falcons’ Grady Jarrett, which looked as if it would force the Buccaneers to punt, and give the Falcons one last chance to drive down the field and possibly win the game. However, the play was called back for ‘roughing the passer’, even though looking at it, it seemed as if it was a pretty clean and fair tackle.
