Toffees latest news: Frank Lampard needs to fix Everton's away form

Transfer insider Dean Jones has urged Frank Lampard to “stamp out” Everton‘s wretched away form.

The Toffees have the worst away record in the Premier League this season and have comfortably lost each of their two fixtures under Lampard.

Everton’s form at home compared to on their travels could hardly be more contrasting. And that theme has already continued in Lampard’s early days as manager, winning the FA Cup tie against Brentford and clash with Leeds recently, while losing the away trips to Newcastle and Southampton.

Overall, Everton have collected just six points on the road this season, with their only victory coming at Brighton back in August.

Since then, the Toffees have picked up just three points from a possible 33 available and only one point in the last eight matches – the goalless draw at Chelsea in December.

Three of Everton’s next four league fixtures are at Goodison Park, which will be a huge relief for Lampard, although two of those are against Manchester City and Wolves, with the other against Newcastle.

But Burnley’s recent upturn in fortunes has left the Merseysiders just two points above the relegation-zone and in serious danger of losing their Premier League status for the first time ever.

He told GIVEMESPORT: “I think we’ve already seen at home, you back Everton, but away from home, you’re not going to back Everton, and that’s something he’s got to stamp out straight away.”
