Todd Boehly sends message to Chelsea fans ahead of Tottenham clash in first programme notes

Chelsea owner Todd Boehly has sent a message to the fans at Stamford Bridge in his first set of programme notes since buying the club, ahead of the huge Premier League clash with Tottenham on Sunday.

The American led the consortium which bought the Blues from Roman Abramovich after the Russian was sanctioned by the government over the war in Ukraine.

He has helped in the transfer market this summer, filling in as an interim sporting director, as Chelsea have brought in the likes of Raheem Sterling, Kalidou Koulibaly and Marc Cucurella.

Attention has turned to on-field matters and after the opening weekend win at Everton, Thomas Tuchel’s side face a massive first home game of the campaign against Spurs.

Boehly did not go into the clash with Antonio Conte’s side in his programme notes, but did elaborate on his vision for success, which sounds like it is not just focusing on the men’s first team, but a wider vision for the club as a whole.

‘We are excited and honoured to be here with you – your dedication, passion and loyalty have kept the blue flag flying high,’ wrote Boehly.

‘There’s a simple mantra that guides us every day: we want to win, together and make you proud.
