Tiger Woods delivers emphatic answer over swirling $340m Nike break-up rumour

It seems one of the most iconic branding partnerships in sport is set to continue as Tiger Woods appeared to end rumours that he was splitting with Nike.

The face of golf has been synonymous with the swoosh for nearly three decades. Only basketball legend Michael Jordan is more associated with the sportswear company, with their iconic logo prominent in all of Woods' big golfing moments throughout his career. But rumours swirled that the relationship was due to end. However, that’s all been put to bed when the 48-year-old appeared in a Nike polo shirt on Friday ahead of the 2023 PNC Championship in Orland.

Son Charlie arrived with Woods Snr and wasn't as obvious with his Nike apparel. Junior was sporting a different polo, but wore the obligatory Nike cap as he was snapped arriving ahead of the pre-am event. Their sartorial choices will put rumours of a breakup with the billion dollar firm to bed for now. The endorsement deal is thought to be worth $340million and is one of the biggest in world sports.
