Three teenage boys charged with murder after stabbing of Prince Walker-Ayeni in Moss Side

Three teenage boys have been charged with murder after the fatal stabbing of Prince Walker-Ayeni in Moss Side. Emergency services descended on Raby Street last Thursday (April 4) to reports of a stabbing.

The victim, 17-year-old Prince Walker, was rushed to hospital from the scene with serious injuries and died a short time later. A murder investigation was launched by Greater Manchester Police.

A large cordon remained in place for a number of days, with Raby Street taped off and an evidence tent erected at the scene.

Detectives from GMP's Major Incident Team have now charged three 16-year-old boys with murder. They cannot be named due to legal reasons. They have been remanded in custody and will appear at Manchester Youth Court on Thursday (April 11).

After his death, Prince's sister sister Kacee said she was left 'so heartbroken'. She said she 'already misses talking' to her brother and 'making jokes out of each other'. "I miss you and I love you loads, I am so heartbroken," she said in a tribute shared with the Manchester Evening News.

Detective Chief Inspector Neil Higginson and Senior Investigating Officer said; “A week on, our investigation has now come to a position where we have charged three suspects in relation to this incident. Prince’s family continued to be supported by Family Liaison Officers and are being kept up to date with its progress.”
