Three goalkeepers Erik ten Hag might sign to replace David de Gea at Man United

Manchester United have held talks with Erik ten Hag to discuss the potential of the Dutch manager taking over at Old Trafford. The news has sent many fans into hysterics and many have been discussing what his arrival could mean for the current squad.

One player who many fans feel may be in danger is David de Gea. At Ajax, Ten Hag has expected his goalkeepers — whether it be Andre Onana or Remko Pasveer at Ajax — to be proactive both in and out of possession, acting as part of the build-up when their team has the ball and coming out of their box to clear through-balls.

Despite De Gea's great recent form and shot-stopping ability, his distribution and ability to prevent goalscoring opportunities has come under question. Dean Henderson is more in the mould of a keeper that Ten Hag would be used to using, but it seems the young Englishman may look to leave in the summer, so United may need to recruit a new keeper.

Robert Sanchez

Sanchez was the choice in our transfer breakdown series and he would seem to also be the choice of Luis Enrique, being picked over De Gea for Spain's national team fixtures this international break. The keeper currently plays for Brighton and would likely cost around £30m given the reported fees for Tariq Lamptey and also how much the team commanded from Arsenal for Ben White.
