Three Everton dangermen Manchester United should be wary of in Premier League clash

Manchester United have a tough task on their hands against Everton on Sunday. Despite a shaky start under Frank Lampard, the Merseyside team now have the best defensive record in the Premier League and Erik ten Hag will have to devise a plan to break them down.

They are a strong unit but they also have a number of players who can meet the difference. They will likely try and hit United in transition and exploit the gaps as they try and make the most out of their possession.

So who should Ten Hag and his side look out for going into Sunday's game and who can make the most difference in defence and attack for United's opponents?

Anthony Gordon

The young forward was linked with a big-money move to Chelsea but Everton decided to keep hold of the player and so far that seems to be the right decision. Gordon has only scored two goals in eight games, but he is a constant threat and ties with Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus for the fourth most shots on target this season.

Given that United will likely have more possession and therefore push up higher, a player like Gordon will be invaluable playing into the space and therefore Ten Hag must be wary of them.

Alex Iwobi

Since he was converted from a winger into a central midfielder under Lampard, Iwobi's career has been injected with a new lease of life. He has been influential in the centre of the park for Everton this season and if United's midfield is not up to scratch he will look to exploit it.

He offers a great amount of energy and is also able to carry the ball well meaning he can take it past his opponents. And if Iwobi ends up in the right position he can also be a goal threat as well.
