'Three angels taken too soon still in the arms of your special mum...' Devastation in the aftermath of house fire

Among the mourners laying flowers at the roadside was one of Bryonie Gawith’s best friends, Abi. Paying tribute to Bryonie, she said: “She was my best friend. She was just bubbly, she was an amazing best friend. She was there for everyone. I’m heartbroken."

Next to the flowers, rows of teddy bears, cards, balloons. Messages scrawled in chalk by children from the neighbourhood, reading 'hope you have fun in heaven', while another added 'RIP little ones'.

Bryonie Gawith, 29, and her three children, nine-year-old Denisty, five-year-old Oscar, and little 22-month-old baby girl Aubree were all killed in a suspected 'deliberate' house fire that consumed their home in Bradford.

Tragedy struck at their home in Bradford when a fire erupted in the early hours, with emergency services called shortly after 2am on Wednesday. Their 29-year-old mum, Bryonie, did not survive the inferno, with her death declared at the scene.

The little ones were rushed to hospital but sadly succumbed to their injuries.

West Yorkshire Police have launched a major investigation, a 39-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after being found at the scene and is now in hospital in critical condition. Police believe the fire was 'deliberate' and 'domestic-related'.
