Police treat deaths of three boys found alongside body of father as murder

Detectives are treating the deaths of three young children who were found alongside the body of their father as murder.

Angelika Swiderska paid a heartbreaking tribute to her sons Dominik, three, and Nikodem and Kacper, both two. The boys were discovered alongside her husband Piotor Swiderski at the family home in Staines, Surrey.

Police said they are not looking for anyone else in connection with their investigation, the Mirror reports. "On Saturday 31 August, we attended an address on Bremer Road in Staines, where the bodies of three children and their father were located inside," Surrey Police said . "The deaths of the children, Dominik Swiderski, 3, Nikodem Swiderski, 2, and Kacper Swiderski, 2, are being investigated as murder by the Surrey Police and Sussex Police’s Major Crime Team. We are not looking for anyone else in connection with our investigation. Their mother is being supported by specially trained officers."

Senior investigating officer Detective Chief Inspector Kimball Edey said: "I would like to express my sincere condolences to the family of Dominik, Kacper and Nikodem for their loss. They will continue to be supported by specialist officers as our investigation continues. I would ask that their privacy is respected at what is a tremendously difficult time for them."

The force said the inquests into the deaths of the three children would be opened on Tuesday. As she reels from the deaths alongside the rest of her neighbourhood, Ms Swiderska spoke of her "amazing" husband and family in a statement released by the force.
