Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen was taken off in the first-half of his side's Champions League round of 16 second-leg against Lille in France. The Denmark international went down with what looks like a muscular injury.
Trevoh Chalobah was brought on by Thomas Tuchel in Christensen's place, to play alongside Thiago Silva and Antonio Rudiger in the Blues' defensive line. It was a frustrating opening half an hour for Chelsea, with Christensen's injury only adding to that.
In fact minutes later, Chelsea gave away a penalty, following a handball from Jorginho inside his own box. Jonathan David stepped up from 12 yards and converted the ball past Edouard Mendy.
However, Jorginho made up for his error with a fine outside of the foot through ball to Christian Pulisic, who found the bottom corner to level the game. Chelsea knew what a huge goal that was considering how well Lille played in the first 45 minutes.
As for Christensen, he will hope to return to action quickly after getting injured. The Denmark international sees his contract at the Blues expire at the end of the season and looks set to leave the club.
