Thomas Tuchel reacting to his Chelsea banner goes viral after sacking

Thomas Tuchel has been sacked as Chelsea manager.

Following the Blues’ 1-0 defeat to Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League on Tuesday, the German was dismissed on Wednesday morning.

The decision made by new owner Todd Boehly comes after the club spent £270 million in the summer but have had an unconvincing start to the 2022/23 campaign.

Tuchel spots his banner and couldn’t hide his delight as he beams from ear to ear before shaking the hand of his coaching staff.

The wholesome footage is pretty emotional just hours after his dismissal.

Speaking after that match, Tuchel thanked Chelsea fans for the banner.

“I saw the banner,” he told Chelsea TV. “I was looking at Mason’s banner, I didn’t see that I had a banner. It’s fantastic, thank you very much for that. It’s unbelievable, the first time, very happy about it.”

It’s pretty crazy to think that was just a few months ago.

Fast forward to today and Chelsea released the following statement to announce Tuchel’s sacking.

“As the new ownership group reaches 100
