Thomas Tuchel agrees with Jurgen Klopp as Chelsea set to be affected by major rule change
Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has already outlined his views for five substitutions to be allowed in the Premier League once again.
According to a report from The Athletic on Friday afternoon, the International Football Association Board (IFAB) is set to hold its annual meeting next month and the option to make up to five substitutes during a match is apparently about to be given the green light once again.
The rule was brought into action during the Premier League's 'Project Restart' to try and help players deal with the congested fixture schedule - and there have been calls for it to be reintroduced.
However, the majority of the 20 Premier League clubs voted against the rule - with 14 shareholder votes necessary for a change to be applied - becoming permanent as it arguably gives the wealthier sides in the division a slight advantage, with more depth in their squads.
Chelsea boss Tuchel, though, who of course has an abundance of options to choose from when all of his players are fit and well, stated in December that he wants the rule to be introduced once again.
He said: "For us, it's the same situation as for anyone else. We have concerns, because we are not only football players and coaches, we are also fathers and have family members so we are also concerned and have doubts and fears.
"Still we are privileged to do our jobs and do what we love the most so it is kind of in between. I am very impressed with how the team takes it.
"You know very well that the situation was very different when we arrived in Wolverhampton and had seven positive tests in three days.
"We had the feeling that we had an outbreak and wanted some time to deal with it mentally and to settle the team down. That was not the case and we lived
