This Morning viewers wonder if they've moved country as Holly Willoughby and Craig Doyle 'replaced' seconds into show

This Morning viewers wondered if they had moved to a different country as they tuned into the latest episode. The ITV daytime show was back on air on Tuesday (July 4) with Holly Willoughby and Craig Doyle back at the helm.

The pair were reunited on-screen when they kicked off another week of shows on Monday after hosting the popular programme together last week. Craig's regular appearance on the show comes after the shock exit of Holly's former friend and co-host Phillip Schofield.

And as Craig reunited with Holly to front the show, This Morning viewers were flocking to social media to heap praise on Craig and once again beg for him to be made a permanent host on the show.

However, as viewers prepared to watch the pair on-screen on Tuesday, they were left a little taken aback as after the opening titles rolled, Holly, 42, and Craig, 52, were nowhere to be seen. Instead a group of American-style cheerleaders took over the show for an energetic performance.

Holly and Craig did eventually appeared through some ruffles of red and blue pompoms and explained that they were celebrating the Fourth of July in all-American style.

Independence Day is a federal holiday in the United States commemorating the Declaration of Independence, which was ratified by the Second Continental Congress on July 4, 1776, establishing the United States of America.

They were then later joined in the kitchen by Phil Vickery who was getting in the red, white and blue spirit with an Apple American Pie, which is the staple of many spreads on July 4. And so the chef was on hand to talk viewers through how to make their own.
