Third man arrested over Badri Issa's death with murder charge

A third man has been arrested in connection with the death of Badri Issa. The 22-year-old was found with life-threatening injuries on Moss Lane East, Moss Side, last Wednesday evening (October 25).

He was taken to hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Yesterday (Monday), a 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder.

He remains in custody for questioning. Raami Mohamed, 21, of Fairy Lane, Manchester, has already been charged with murder in connection with Badri's death and is due to appear in Manchester Magistrates Court today.

Meanwhile, a 21-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice was bailed last night for further enquiries. Detective Chief Inspector Andy Naismith, of GMP’s Major Incident Team, said: “Our investigation continues to progress well - we have made a total of three arrests and have secured one charge.

"That being said, our investigation is far from over and, as officers continue to carry out extensive enquiries to find answers for Badri’s family, we are still appealing to members of the public with relevant information to share it with police. To submit information, CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage please submit it through the Major Incident Public Portal here: Public Portal (mipp.police.uk).

"You can also report information to GMP by calling 101 or via the GMP website using our reporting tool: www.gmp.police.uk quoting log 3210 of 25/10/2023. Alternatively, you can report information anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
