Paul Pogba has compared himself to Jesus and claimed Manchester United failed to seduce him in his new Amazon Prime documentary series.
The World Cup winner has allowed behind-the-scenes access to his life and thoughts in five episodes of 'The Pogmentary' which are broadcast from Friday. The France star has left Old Trafford and is expected to re-sign for his former club Juventus.
He does not talk about his next employer but starts the first show by saying: “My name is Paul Pogba, I play at Manchester United., one of the best clubs on the planet. A few years ago, I won the World Cup with France. I want to be among the elite, outstanding. Now, I am at a turning point in my career. I have big decisions to make which are going to determine my future and I don’t have the right to make an error.”
But Pogba does give hints why he left Old Trafford on a free transfer for a second time. “When you like a girl, you do everything to seduce her and you don’t wait for her to leave to chase after her,” he said. “A player, he has to feel important in his team, his club. If you don’t have that, it’s over.”
