There’s still time to see the light trail at Dunham Massey over Christmas

If you’re stuck for things to do between Christmas and New Year then there’s still time to check out Dunham Massey’s spectacular winter lights trail. This year the popular attraction returned on November 17 and will run until December 31.

There are still some off-peak tickets available for the ‘Twixmas’ period, giving you one last chance to take in the mesmerising displays. The family friendly, one-mile trail is packed full of beautiful illuminations, including light-covered tunnels and reflections which cast light on the trees.

This year there are some new additions to the light trail, including colour-changing batons of light, a huge silver star and star-shaped arches. Check out the mesmerising Herbum installation, a large-scale sculpture that evokes a tuft of wild glowing grass; and Voyage, a flotilla of hundreds of colour-changing, floating origami folded boats.

Adding to the festive atmosphere is a soundtrack of Christmas favourites. Along the way you can enjoy treats from independent street vendors.

There are a limited number of off-peak tickets available each day from December 27. They cost £19 for adults and £12.50 for children aged 3-16, with most off-peak tickets available after 7pm, with the last time slot at 8.30pm.

Funds raised from the ticket sales go towards preserving Dunham Massey.
